Smoky, with raw sugarcane and orange oil aromatics predominating. Think of a rum-based sidecar. Recipe from Braden LaGrone at Cure in NOLA.
Ingredients:
- ¼ oz oz
- 1 oz aged rum
- 1 oz amaro (Sfumato Rabarbaro strongly recommended)
- ¾ oz lime juice
- ½ oz orange liqueur
Instructions:
- Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker
- Add ice and shake hard for 20 seconds
- Strain into a chilled coupe
